Dalian Port's hinterland is divided into three circle spatial regions by using the Circle Structure method. This paper
quantitatively analyzes the relationship between economic indicators of these three circle regions and Dalian port throughput by
using Huff Gravity Model. The results of analysis show that the economic indicators in these three circle regions had different
effects on the throughput of Dalian port. Base on the competition between Yingkou Port and Dalian Port，this paper analyzes the
reasons and concludes that regional cooperation would be a rational choice for the development of two ports in the future.
